How Diabetes is related to Heart Diseases

 

What is it? The diabetes mellitus is a disease that occurs when the pancreas can not make enough or when it fails to act in the body insulin because cells do not respond to the stimulus. Those with diabetes have more risk of cardiovascular disease .

What to do? Keeping a diet heart healthy, physical exercise continuously, lose weight, control blood sugar and monitor other factors of cardiovascular risk , especially hypertension , the smoking and cholesterol .

The diabetes must be controlled. The insulin must be administered by subcutaneous injection. There are different types of insulin, which mainly differ in the time it takes to take effect and its duration (flash, fast, intermediate and slow). Visit your doctor to explain how you have to control the levels of glucose and what to do when the index obtained does not fall within the normal range.
